Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. What this is

EU Micro Scanner (“the Service”, “we”, “us”) is based in the Netherlands. By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use it.

The Service is a free AI-powered scanner that classifies an AI system’s EU AI Act risk tier, and a paid Enhanced Report that expands that analysis. Both are generated automatically by AI — no human reviews your submission before you receive a result.

2. Not legal advice

The Service is an informational tool, not legal advice, and using it does not create a lawyer-client or advisory relationship. It covers the parts of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 that determine an individual system’s risk tier, role-based obligations, transparency duties, and penalty exposure — it does not cover every provision of the Act, and it can be wrong. For decisions with real legal or financial consequences, consult a qualified lawyer.

3. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to submit unlawful, harmful, or someone else’s confidential information you’re not authorized to share. Don’t scrape, automate abusive volumes of requests against, or attempt to circumvent the free-scan limits of the Service.

4. The free scan

Free scans are limited per day to prevent abuse; the limit may change without notice. The free scan gives a risk classification and summary obligations — it is intentionally less detailed than the Enhanced Report.

5. The Enhanced Report (paid)

The Enhanced Report is a one-time, AI-generated deep-dive purchase, delivered instantly after payment. Pricing is shown at checkout and may change for future purchases. Payment is processed by Stripe; we don’t store your card details.

6. Digital content & your right of withdrawal

Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU), you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Because the Enhanced Report is digital content delivered to you immediately after payment, that right does not apply once delivery has started — by completing your purchase, you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the report is generated (Article 16(m), Directive 2011/83/EU). You’ll be asked to confirm this explicitly at checkout before payment is taken.

7. Ownership

The report you receive is yours to use, share, and forward however you like. The Service itself — its prompts, design, and methodology — remains ours.

8. No warranty, limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for decisions made based on a report, or for losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be excluded under applicable law.

9. Availability

The Service depends on third-party infrastructure (Vercel, Anthropic, Stripe) and may be unavailable or degraded at times outside our control. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
